Not ranked. In the early'70s there were 27 with my sir name in the Sears credit data base. I knew 19 of them. Oh! Polish sir name btw.

I always thought my mother's maiden name was more common...it doesnt show up, while the family surname is in the 35,000's

I started making up words and was still getting hits, like Dort and Bort. Maybe there is something to those Bort license plates.
 
frankly, i'm surprised my surname is even on there. it's ranked at 52198 in the USA. this is weird considering that my grampa made it up.

too bad they didn't have a regional breakdown. I know my last name is popular in canada and along border states like NH and Maine, but I can't see it being all that popular anywhere else.
