MY computer can't run games like Soldier of fortune 2, Rise of nations, Max Payne 2 on highest settings AA/AF off at at least 800x600... I should be able to run them fine, my Celeron is a downfall but SOF2 and MP2 IS NOTHING! and RON runs on almost anything.

2.2Celeron
6600GT 8x AGP
512MB PC2700
Windows XP

BTW:

RON runs at like 60-70 FPS when nothing is happening, Highest everything, then when I build units and stuff and then I attack drops down to 5-20 FPS.

MP2: Highest everything runs really good for the first like 5 levels then it starts to run REALLY poor.

SOF2: Highest everything, runs like crap from the beggining, Lower settings to lowest all runs better but still runs bad.

NOTE!:When I first built my computer a year ago it had the same parts except it had a Toshiba 5400RPM 14GIG and a Geforce4 Ti4200, now it has a MAxtor 60gig 7200RPM and a 6600GT. And games seem to run worse. I was running Windows 98 At the time too. When I first built my computer I could almost run anything really good. I upgraded and now everything runs worse. VERY WEIRD anyone know how to fix this?

I have ALL drivers, Everything installed correctly I have the proper PSU for all my parts. I have had some problems with my computer in the past but nothing I couldn't fix.

Well, it would seem that the changes you mde in hard drive/ gpu, made the power supply put out a bit more juice, that may be the problem right there.
What supply is being used?

Q: is there any artifacting or stabilty issues here?

Also it may sound like another 512mb or more is in order from the Doctor.
