Back when I was a kid, Pork and Beans actually did contain a decent amount of Pork.

Like the OP mentioned, today, there is no Pork in Pork and Beans. The last few cans of it I bought at the store contained the little pea side amount of Pork fat.

My guess, budget cuts. The generic brand of Spaghettio and Meatballs is mostly (50%) tomato water now, before it was actually fairly solid and consistent, but they have scaled back.

Time to pay 3 times the amount for what you should get... The "premium" stuff you know, the product that actually contains what it supposed to.

WTF? I usually break it up into 3 or 4 pieces, then save them for the last 3 or 4 spoons of beans. Delicious!
