I tie them both the same way, yet its the left one that always comes apart. Does this happen to anyone else?

Hmm.. I think it ahppens to me too. Twice today on the left, while none on the right.

Hush puppies. I think it happens on my Dockers too...

Omg conspiracy!

same, twice today as well. Both pairs are Kenneth Coles, but it used to happen on the Rockports also.

LOL... My dad was just talking about this last week.

He said that he's noticed that his left shoe comes untied more than his right.

We figured it had something to do with being right handed.

I double knot mine... they don't come untied. 🙂

It's got something to do with how you walk. I walk differently with my left leg, not that much, but the shoelaces come loose almost every day, and the more I walk the more often it happens. So, I double knot.

Well, the knot on both shoes isn't the same. You tied them in the exact same pattern for both feet. Try tying your left knot backwards, then they'll be the same relative to your foots dimensions and walking stride.

I noticed the same thing a few years ago. After further observation, I found that it was because when I sit down at my desk I have a tendency to cross my legs in such a way that my right root rests on my left, which loosens the laces.

Nowadays I wear slip-ons most of the time. When I do wear shoes with laces, I just tie a double knot.
