I so regret buying this stupid intel haswell mainboard combo. Wish I listened to others and bought an AMD, I would have had a 6 core FX that packs the performance of an i5 in things like unreal engine 4 and battlefield 4 etc

What a huge regret intel was, I have a pentium G haswell and it makes no sense upgrading to i3 as it stinks compared to fx 6300 and i5. And well i5 is double the price of fx 6300 for same performance what a rip off intel really is.

FX6300 is not the same performance as an i5. Not even remotely close.

If it was, AMD would charge you a lot more money than they are.
 
Sounds like you need to educate yourself on the relative performance on a Haswell i5 and a FX6300. It's no where near the same, it's quite drastically different in fact. I won't tell you which is better, you should do some reading and see for yourself.
 
I have done my research and i5 @3ghz and fx 6300 is the same performance in 6 threaded benchmarks.

Also apart from i5, the fx 6300 is drastically superior to the i3 and the fx costs a lot less So again massive regret on intel my current pentium G stinks on a whole new level

And I am not paying $200 for an i5 when the FX 6300 can easily compete infact the fx can over clock while the $200 i5 cannot

intel fan boys will never accept the truth then. Also the FX 6300 rapes the $156 i3 in 64 player maps in Battlefield 4 and its still cheaper at only $95

Only because morons and liars here told me to buy intel is why I did and what a regret it turned out to be. Could have gotten so much more for my money with AMD because this intel pentium G STINKS in battlefield 4 and unreal engine 4 development.

Could have gotten 6 core AMD for $95 just WOW instead stuck with nasty dual core intel that chokes on every opportunity it gets.

Sell your stuff and buy an FX 6300, while the rest of us Intel fans stick with "slower" i5 haswells... This has to be a troll thread, no one can be that clueless can they?

Now thanks to people like you I have to sell my intel system at a loss in order to buy the AMD which makes it even more troubling because of the money I was going to save now it will be wasted.

people like you told me to buy intel saying its better than AMD, telling lies about how the i3 was better than FX 6300 when it turned out the $185 i5 haswell was beaten by the fx 6300 and at a cheaper price than the i3

It was a choice between i3 and fx 6300 and the i3 stinks like pig feces.
 
on multi threaded 3D modeling its a different story. And that 8 core FX is still way cheaper than a i5 btw

So you are denying FACTS?

Intel stinks in value for money when it comes to multi threaded benchmarks and I wasted money on this intel system when I could have had a FX 6300 with power of a i5 haswell which is proven by benchmarks. Or even if not power of an i5 it would have been waaaay better than an over priced i3. My concern isn't even about i5 its about how i3 stinks and what I could have gotten now for $95 if I didn't listen to some of you trolls and bought an intel.

But then again you are free to express your ignorance.

intel budget CPU STINKS compared to what AMD has to offer for far less.

And yes dual core Pentium G and dual core i3 STINKS compared to a 6 core FX 6300 in 6 threaded games like battlefield 4

It seems to me that i3's, i5's and FX's all perform about where they should for what they cost in Battlefield 4:

i3 is more expensive than the FX and is a hair slower in a game that can fully utilize 6 threads, but will be in a whole different league in less-threaded games/programs.

FX-6 is not a match for an i5.

nobody plays single player

a dual core i3 will never be able to out perform a 6 CORE amd in a 8 threaded game like battlefield 4. Same with caspain border in Battlefield 3 multi player benchmarks

Ok so I finally got the CPU today with the MB and RAM

Must say its a blast very snappy compared to my old AMD. I checked with some friends who play Diablo 3 and one guy who has the best 8 core AMD dips to 15 FPS in huge fights.

My Pentium hovers around 23 FPS and up. Few people with i5 did a test and they have been reported to get 28 FPS with Ivy Bridge i5. One guy with a Hasswell i7 got no less than 35 FPS in the biggest fight.

My old Athlon II X2 at the same 3GHZ would get 8 fps in these fight scenes. So its a massive bump up for me I am quite satisfied knowing this $60 intel beats a $180 AMD.
I even tested it in Battlefield 3 with 64 player metro map and it handles it way better than my AMD

I used to get 14 fps wit my AMD now I get 30 FPS and up. Quite pleased if I do say so myself.

All great for $140 USD combo kit.

Unreal 4 was not mentioned in this thread at all.

Now had you mentioned you needed a CPU for Unreal 4 or that you would be playing a lot more BF4 and that your budget was higher you would have gotten a different recommendation.

Remember you wanted a CPU + MOBO + RAM

Not going higher than $1200 TTD which is about $180 USD

Currently its impossible to use Unreal Engine 4 on my PC that has a Pentium G with intel HD graphics the problem is not the CPU but the GPU is so slow the engine is there for hours rendering GPU shaders.

You all were supposed to guide me properly as to the value of AMD CPU and why its better than intel in the long run.

This site would have you believe intel is so much more superior than AMD until you realize you f***ed yourself in the a** by buying intel unless you are super duper RICH.

That's why you buy an i5 and get the best of both or an i7. If you can't afford it that's on you. Doesn't make the processor any worse and certainly doesn't make an FX6300 better than an i5
