ok...checked verizon.com to see if I could get DSL, it said I couldnt. I was confused because I checked the phone number of my relative across the city bridge and DSL was available to them. Is this because I am in an apartment and they are in a house? Don't get it. I even use verizon phone service.

lotta factors could mean it isn't available. Some people in the same neighbor hood get it while others can't. Its usually because of wiring/distance.

You could always call them.

We couldn't get it in our area because there was to many people who already had it. Also sometimes not enough people in the area want it. Those are the most common reasons.

I have DSL because I get SDSL for free

If I had to pay for it, I would have it from Time Warner Cable

Too many factors including cable quality/type, load coils, distance, and demand. It?s available about 6 blocks from me but they said it would never be available for me due to the lack of demand in this area.
