Games and such are almost never out on "release date".

They typically give the date the stuff will ship to retailers as the release date rather than the day you can buy it in stores. I just went through this with the release of SSX3.

It's crazy that no other entertainment industry does this.

target didnt have KOTOR on the release date, and the idiots they had working there didnt know a thing about it, so i went to EB and got what i wanted in 2 minutes.
