I've heard and eaten chicken fried steak made from ground beef. But I've never heard of flank steak being called cubed steak. Cubed steak is usually top round or other cheap cut. Flank steak is one of most flavor packed cut of beef. It has ton of texture and packed with very beefy flavor.I think this way because I'm aware of the difference between cube steak and hamburgers. I can't understand why you would venture into a thread like this when you clearly don't. But so you don't make an even bigger fool of yourself next time, allow me to explain so that maybe you learn something. People eating chicken-fried steak are not "enjoying ground hamburger patties". Chicken-fried steak is not in any way, shape or form related to ground beef. Chicken-fried steak is made with cube steak which is flank steak that has been semi-pulverized to make it tender enough to eat. It contains almost no fat and has VERY little flavor or texture on its own. THAT is why people started to make it chicken-fried, because it's one of the few ways to turn it into something edible.
You know, I'm reasonably sure I covered that way the hell back up there in post #4. "The point of deep frying foods is to add some yummy grease and a nice golden brown to foods which are not ordinarily greasy and golden brown. " A cube steak is lean and deep frying improves it. Ground beef is fatty on its own and deep frying it turns it into a grease bomb. Is that clear enough or is the difference between a cube steak and hamburger just too darn complicated for you?
Breaded beef fried is pretty common dish in many parts of the world. I'm sure most of you have eaten beef schnitzel or something similar. Many cultures have their own form of schnitzel. It's usually made from pork but veal schnitzel is pretty common too.The breaded fried meat is usually served covered in some sort of sauce.
