-30C, -38 with windshield. -40 both C and F are equal.

Been like this for the past couple weeks. Typical for this time of year though. We got a few breaks in the past few days where it was like -20. That actually felt warm.

It's nice to see the earlier sun rise though. It's a sign that summer is eventually going to happen.
Where the hell do you live?
Why the hell would you live there?
Ohio winters are bad enough... I can't imagine putting myself through the torture of however far north you are.

It was 20° when I walked in this morning. Time to get me some of that sweet hot chocolate.

11°C, not a cloud in sight, the snow is melting away quite fast.

I always find it helpful to know a persons location when they post the current temperature outside. That may just be me though.

It was so cold this morning I actually saw a politician with his hands in his own pockets.

Yep, any time I get wound up about the cold and snow, I just gain a little perspective and remember that I still have heat, netflix and internet porn.

Well, our 2 day outage wasn't that bad. Roads were clear so no problems getting supplies, and I have an 8kw generator that kept the fireplace insert blowing, the fridge running, and the TV/video games/internet going. So other than not getting a warm shower on Wednesday until the evening and having to bundle up to sleep, it was almost life as normal.

About 15 years ago or so we had a 7 day outage and the streets stayed icy the whole time...we definitely got cabin fever then.

Timmins Ontario. This is typical for this time of year, January-February. Then it warms up.

Honestly I've thought of how nice it would be to move down south, but cost of living is through the roof, and all my family is here, so I stay put. When we used to get decent summers they were nice. +20's and stuff. Now days, it just rains in summer. :/

On the way in the news said some God forsaken place in the UP hit -31 this morning.

Good thing they don't get Southern Ice™ or everyone would be dead.

Yeah, so Northern closed. Pussies. Lake State, FU, and Tech all stayed open.

My mom said it was "practically tropical" in Houghton today. With it not snowing, and the wind NOT at 25-35 mph, she could deal with it staying under 0 all day. :p

She said Michigamme hit -40.

63 degrees here right now. Haven't run the heat in a few weeks and I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt. It was in the 80s here last weekend.

-2F right now. Supposed to be between -13 and -16F tonight. A heatwave on Saturday with 38 high and 35 low (but raining...could turn to freezing rain if temperature shifts a little downward). :(
