How Canadians measure

The original chart had distance measured in km. Then people said that in reality distance in Canada is measured in time. For instance you are not 100 km from Toronto, you are one hour away from Toronto. I posted the revised chart.

Wait...you don't measure driving distance by the number of beers?

i've only been on 403 up there and was blown away by how well everyone drove

like i've never seen a highway in the US that was close to being as civilized as 403, even in rush hour

Here in Southern California we call all the the highways THE, The 405 is a mess today. To get to Dodger Stadium that the 101 to the 134 to the 5.

As far as how well everyone drives, 30 years ago my wife and I were on our honeymoon at Niagara falls then drove around Canada. We got caught is some traffic jam. I can't remember the exact details but we were stuck in stop and go traffic in a detour. My wife had the map out ans was trying to find where we were and where we were going. A guy pulled up to us and asked us where we were going. We told him and he told us that he would get in front of us and to follow him. Another guy talked to our guide and then got in behind us. We formed a little train and those two lead us back to the highway and made sure we were on our way in the right direction.

Wow i figured they had completely kicked the habbit of using stupid and obsolete units of measurement.
Didnt know canada had the same cancer that we have in the USA, just a milder form.

Coincidentally just the other day I was bemused to notice the container of milk I bought the last time I risked the supermarket is labelled as 3.408 ltrs. (i.e 6 pints.)

Officially metric, but most places still show Imperial units prices, with metric in smaller fonts.
