How Can You Tell If Motherboard Will Fit PC Case?

Hello,

I'll be replacing my motherboard soon and had a question. How can you tell if the new board will fit in your present PC case? I bought a PC from PCBeyond that I ordered to my specs. The case is a nice one that has room for plenty of expansion. I would hate to buy another motherboard only to find out that it doesn't fit. I'm sure that's a concern everyone has, so how can you verify that a new board will fit your present case? Thanks for your input.

Sincerely,
Hans Groenewold

If it's a standard ATX case, AFAIK any standard ATX mobo will fit.

Otherwise, the easy thing to do is take off the side panel and measure with a tape measure. The size of mobo's is usually indicated on their specs.

Or, google your current mobo's spec's to find it's dimensions and compare to the one you want to purchase.
