How can you tell if it's Built by Ati or some other brand?

I'm tyring to buy a card from a fellow ATer but we can't be sure if the card is a built by Ati 9800 or a sapphire or a powercolor or some other company. We know it uses samsung memory.

Does he have the box? it should have a sicker on it that says "built by ati"

Otherwise if the fan has an ATi sticker on it, it should be built by either saphire or "ATi"

He doesn't have the box. He says the fan has "ati" on it.

There's also a serial number on the card, visit the saphire website and compare the serial #'s
