"choice dialog box" is a poor term.

Are you talking about the dialog box that shows up when you hit ctrl alt del on a workstation? Where it gives the options for log off, task manager, change users, restart, shut down, etc?

Ahh, I have Win2k Pro and when I hit ctrl+alt+del, I get the login/option screen. I tried every combo I know of, and it won't grab the screen -- or even just the box -- to memory (tested with mspaint).

Now that you've defined which of the two "CTRL ALT Delete dialogs" you mean:

You aren't a user yet, hence lack the rights to do anything.

It might be possible to use/write a service to grab the screen buffer for you, but using a digicam is probably a more practical solution.

I think he wants the one with the options to lock desktop, change password, etc. options, which means you ARE a user and logged in. I had this dilemma myself and just found screenshots someone else had taken and said "OK so for where you see XXX on the picture it will show YYY for us"

Experts Exchange suggests doing it via remote desktop, and if that doesn't work you can VNC in and get it. Someone suggested setting up a VMWare workstation, which would work fine, but take quite a bit of time to set up.

Thanks for all the replies. Yes, it is the choice dialog that I was looking for. I just got some from Google Image search. I thought I my PC was screwed or somthing, by the way everyone was saying how easy it was. Sorry for the misunderstanding on which actual dialog.
