I haven't ordered from them in a long long time... Haven't needed anything and for the most part I'm pretty sick of them. They had always been good, but now they raised prices, switched to UPS (I say that because it's unreasonable to use Fedex at such crazy prices) and just don't make it appealing to cruise their website anymore...

I'm currently fighting with over a Fuji $50 LCD rebate that I never got. I can't contact Fuji and now Newegg says that Fuji claims they never got it from me, uh huh, yeah freakin right.

Did you make copies of everything before sending?

Having to make multiple orders from multiple places is just as annoying. Especially when they arrive at different times and you need both to get anything done.

WTF? Newegg doesn't use FedEx Select for under $12 (or FREE!) as the default shipping anymore??? When did this happen??

Yeah, I haven't ordered anything in awhile!! :(

whats funny is those of you who are actually crying becuase NewEgg doesn`t use the free Fred Ex anymore.....thats pathetic.....

Thats what wrong with half the kiddies on these forums...
They expect to get something for nothing....
Always complaining about the price of shipping.
When if you look at it everycompany has a right to make a profit and we shouldn`t expect them to ship everything for free...

I find these complaint about NewEgg`s shipping way too funny....
NewEgg still rules!! They have the BEST Customer Support of any online retail store...

I'd be happy if they offered the option for me to have stuff shipped by DHL or Fedex... I'd pay for it, because I would know it would get here on time (most of the time). But, as of the last time I ordered, I couldn't select DHL or Fedex as an option, even at additional cost.

Zipzoomfly is much cheaper, and they only charge 2$ for 2 day fed ex shipping ;) . I use to buy all my stuff from newegg, but still why use a service that doesnt have good shipping service over a service that has excellent shipping at a lower price? hehe...

I call shens.

Even if not, if you're stupid enough to pay $50 for shipping on a heatsink, then you deserve to get ripped off. The only way that's possible is if you ordered it same day delivery, in which case it WOULD be $50 and for a good reason.

To top it off, if you saw $50 for regular shipping and didn't bother to call and question it (if you really HAD to have this heatsink, you would have.), then once again, you're an idiot.

Newegg's support is the best I've ever seen. If you would have called and asked why, they would have fixed the error, possibly even sent it without making you pay shipping. So that concludes my analysis of why you are either dumb or lying.

I still use NewEgg, but the problem I have is that it is different than it was a year ago.

I used to order, and the item(s) would be shipped that day. Now it is the next day most of the time.
FedEx would always deliver in two days. UPS is usually three.
They used to have the best prices (including shipping charges, if any). Now I have to shop around.

It is a combination of those things that bug me. They spoiled me in the past....

I also have a hard time understanding Chief Value. Why make another site with different prices, etc....

I cannot count on NewEgg like I used to. Plain and simple.

They are still a terrific online store.

I really don't think the shipping is that unreasonable, $4.99 to ship an $85 part, that's pretty much on par with most online stores. True, it can be kind of ridiculous for cheaper items, but Newegg never had free FedEx saver shipping on cheap stuff.

customer service > price (to a degree of course).

As long as they treat me like they always have and keep bending over backwards to help me out with RMAs and damaged hardware that they don't HAVE to take back by policy, I'll keep buying from them. Their shipping is reasonable and almost always a day early for me.

Fvck Newegg, I used to love shopping there now they became at the bottom of my list and the last place I would have in mind for on-line shopping, I don't understand, with FeDex things were going smoothly, they were delievering things within a good margin of time and I was happy with both service and price, and then they got UPS into the deal and all sht broke loose, I wish I could have my old Newegg back :(

What's not to understand? The cheap FedEx shipping was losing FedEx money so they raised prices for Newegg. Thus Newegg turned around and chose a cheaper carrier. Perfectly normal and understandable business.

While the shipping has steadily gone up in price, their customer service hasn't done me wrong and they have gotten my orders out to me MUCH faster lately. Must be the NJ warehouse is going full bore now because I've gotten my last few orders in 1 business day when using standard shipping. I've never had a problem with UPS myself...all the smashed packages I've received came from fedex, although the product always survived despite this.

I still order from NewEgg, but before I do I double check to see if ZipZoom can beat them
(and sometimes they do)
and also check out what their 'Alter-Ego' company Cheif Value is offering.

Hello ANANDTECH forum members,

We appreciate all the constructive and positive feedback provided on this thread. We apologize for our delayed entry into this thread as well.

We are always looking to provide the best customer service possible. Please kindly note that whatever changes we make in our services we always keep out valued customers in mind. As some of you have mentioned our switch to UPS, as our primary shipper is not favorable to some. We still offer FedEx as an optional shipper but because of some changes done to our contract with FedEx their rates have changed.

If anyone has any questions or concerns please feel free to PM us. If anyone needs assistance with a recent or older order please do no hesitate to contact us as well. Thank you.
