Interesting that you ask. I know a certain fellow, lets call him "Jeeebus," who went to the doctor this morning for exactly this. 😱
Prognosis: The boys are swimmers and numerous.
. What exactly did you ask the doctor?
How old are you?
And I would love to know what your obvious choice was before making this thread.
What fucking difference does it make how old I am? And the first choice would be asking a doctor, smartass. It's just that seeing that there are sperm banks and fertility clinics, the question is which doctor would you go see. Furthermore, I don't think men would seek the opinion of a doctor until they infer that something is wrong. I would prefer to find out before. IMHO, something as important as having a child requires a plan, and you can never start planning too early.
Went to a urologist today upon recommendation from my general practitioner. It was mostly expressing concern (about 7 months of no success) that something may be wrong with the plumbing. He asked most of the questions... history of near misses, prior medical conditions, any issues with her, when are you having sex, etc.?
Ultimately, while a physical "inspection" of the machinery didn't show anything out of the ordinary, as others have said, there's really only one simple and awkward way to get a good sense of count/mobility. Yes, a urologist's office is not exactly the most romantic of settings... no, I don't want to give any further detail.
But once you've captured and secured the swimmers, it takes literally a minute or two to find out if you've got problems.
