How can you disappear the IE status bar for good, mine keeps popping back.

Why wood IE let you disable the status bar and not keep it disable, is this another Microsoft trick?

Disable it then completely close IE. Start it back up from there.

It doesn't take much work to hit [F11] key for full screen, but you could always implement KIOS mode to force a full screen on boot
