You are asking about someone who has spent years in show business and has an annual salary that can afford the costs of a 10million dollar house.
Based on his salary he can reasonably afford a a 10 million dollar home.
A simple google search shows his net worth and annual income.

Buy it for $10M, sell it a few years later for $12M. How can he afford NOT to buy this? No matter how poor he is, turning down $2M in likely profit is foolish.
