Well that is Trevor's problem to worry about. Op why do you care?

these are important things to know. we must all smoke out this information. Trump is president now so we can no longer ask questions about what our great and best, good things government is doing.

A bit old news but according to http://variety.com/2017/dirt/real-estalker/trevor-noah-penthouse-daily-show-1201999205/ Trevor Noah bought a $10M penthouse.

Now, how can he possibly afford that? He's host of the Daily Show but does cable nowadays still pay that much. I mean, i don't know lots of people watching tv anymore.

Why would you post this in Politics and News?

You are asking about someone who has spent years in show business and has an annual salary that can afford the costs of a 10million dollar house.
Based on his salary he can reasonably afford a a 10 million dollar home.
A simple google search shows his net worth and annual income.

Is this some sort of weak attempt at character assassination because of Noah's segments on Daily show? Your question in P&N indicates shennanigans.

Who doesn't have a Soros Condominium these days?

Guy's so rich he's practically the will of the free market incarnate.

Jokes aside, people with celebrity pay scales buy things of dubious affordability all the time. We know this because there's a steady trickle of them going bankrupt and having to sell them.

Good for him and I guess we regular folk need to cut better deals for ourselves. Playing the "I'm a victim and a Liberal" pays well. Just remember that the next time Liberals try to talk about wealth redistribution.

Entertainers get paid. I'm not sure why you're ranting about liberals. The entertainers at Fox News make a mint, Hannity alone rakes in $20M a year just from them.

Not sure how it's far fetched that a famous entertainer can afford an expensive home.

If I ever buy a penthouse I'm going buy one on the ground floor so I don't have to climb all those stairs.

Buy it for $10M, sell it a few years later for $12M. How can he afford NOT to buy this? No matter how poor he is, turning down $2M in likely profit is foolish. If you really think about it the more poor you are, the more you should buy that penthouse (banks won't let you, but that is just a minor technical detail).

I guess things would only make sense for right wingers if every liberal was either really rich, Jewish, and a coastal elite (debauched Hollywood entertainer [likely gay]/New Yorker reading Ivy League intellectual) OR ridiculously poor, uneducated, dark-skinned and prone to violence. Sorry we all can't make scapegoating so easy for you.

Yep. He's part of the nobility. Maybe if you tug your bootstraps really hard you can too. Or you could just work towards a more equitable society.
I wonder if 50% of his income would be considered a "fair share".

I personally think he's terrible which is why I'm surprised by that income level.

He's been in the entertainment business for 15+ years and is now host of the Daily Show, whose previous host was making MUCH more.

Why would that number be questionable to you?
I'm perfectly able to accept that he makes that much. I was just surprised that he was.
