How can retailers such as ZZF cut prices on the new procs

Since both Intel and AMD are putting price cuts on their line of products, how can retailers just cut prices? Wouldnt they lose money by doing that since they bought the proc for a higher ammount? Does the companies re-imburse them?

i do believe they are re-imbursed the difference in that case, or receive a discount on the next order from the manufacturer.
