How can I turn Windows XP Home Edition into Media Center Edition?

I've moved the computer into the living room to use as the main "entertainment center" and would like to have the ease of the HTPC software interface. I'm getting ready to install Got All Media, and I'll report back how that works. Any suggestions?

As far as converting XP to MCE.... not sure, I never liked the plain jane look of MCE compared to >>> THIS

That Got All Media is crap. I'll give that Meedio a try....

GBPVR's not a bad little freeware application either. Not as flashy as Meedio but does the job nicely.

all of them are inferior to the "ease of use" that media center 05 has (but that would require a new os install for you).

The others are more customizable but are much harder to use and not "tivo like easy" like mce05 is)
