How can I transfer this system?

I want to transplant a Win98 installation to a new motherboard. The old board has an AMD 750 chip set, the new board has a VIA KT-133. The system is installed on a SCSI hard drive. I have not had good luck with this in the past and wondered if anybody had any tips.

Try this

Remove ALL Drivers from the system .... device manager and choose remove each and every driver from the list.. and do this in safe mode just before you do this

LMK if this work for u

I wouldn't do that if I were you. this might cause system instability because you are transfering your system over a different platform. My suggestion is to go ahead and backup all your files, and try porting your win98 to the new system.

Worse come, you will need to reinstall a new piece of win98.
