How can I tell if the SocketA mobo in my Micron is capable of 133Mhz memory bus?

SO I can pick either PC100 or PC133 memory to put in here....It has 64MB PC100 in it now...

i'd think if that micron might have cut corners went the stability route and used a AMD 750 based socketA mobo.... only reason i say that is.... they used PC100:eek:(since it's not like PC133 would have cost them more)

The only way to run at 133fsb is to use fsb+pci clock. It wont support 133fsb athlons though.

if it has a via based socketA chipset then it would have to be KT133 based mobo.... and should support 133 mhz for memory:)

yeah, from what you are seem to be asking, you aren't getting the fsb to 133 but just pc133 ram, which is fine for VIA socketa mobo.
[edit] just saw your sig. its a duron, which means it a VIA board. plus its a socketA (why am i think thinking AMD750 for socketa? sheesh), fsb to 133 is prob not gonna happen but pc133 ram is a go. But if you stick in pc133 with the pc100 you already have, its prob gonna run at pc100.

Id get PC133 even if you have 100 now.... that way it will be more usable at a later date if you upgrade or get rid of the 64MB PC100.

It should be a KT133 based board, so theoretically you could clock the RAM at 133MHz on it, but Micron might have removed the option to set fsb+pci selection in the BIOS.
