How can I tell if my SSD is dying?

I have a 128 GB OCZ Vertex 4. Is there an easy way to find if it is still in good shape?

I want to move to Win 10 and would like to make sure my almost 3 years old drive is still in good shape.

Well, you could run crystaldiskinfo, and look at the SMART info, but, that is by no means of a guarantee of anything. It still could fail at any time.
Best bet is just use it, and keep a backup.
(This applies for any media, not just SSDs).

I agree, keep a good solid regular backup. The problem with SSD is that they can fail suddenly and instantly, without warning. It literally could pass every test in the book and completely fail 2 seconds later.

Most of my experience with dying SSDs has been with OCZ Vertex drives. In that experience, the SSDs died pretty suddenly. There may be little things that only a regular computer user may notice, otherwise they just died or didn't power up one day. Backup is a good idea.
