My screen is having weird faint line all across the screen.
the faint line is "transparent" with the most 1cm tall(or depending of what is the color on the screen)
the faint lines move up when i scroll down

i don't know if it is my videocard problem or motherboard problem.
i've tested my monitor, no problem, and i don't think it is my CPU. the rest is videocard, soundcard, motherbaord.

the problem was first seen today when i turned on my monitor, but i didn't shutdown my PC during the nite.(as usual i let it on)
How can i tell if it is my videocard or my mother board that is causing all the problem?
and softwares that i can disgnose?
i've tried to lower the speed of my cpu and videocard with no success.

oh, even under Safe Mode.

when i tried to reinstall the Detonator driver.

It just won't succeed, missing file... I don't know why, i redownloaded the exact file from nvidia.com , but still missing some files..

I hope i am not infected .

i don't have any vshield installed.

when u said u've tested ur monitor and it had no problem, did u mean u plugged monitor to a different computer and it didnt have problems?

my first guess would be the monitor or some electrical device around it causing interference, but if its not, check the connection and make sure all the pins are straight.

if they are all fine, next would be the video card.. easiest would be to swap it with another card.

Motherboard would be last .

i plugged the monitor to a different PC, and it is fine.

i know it is the most difficult to test the motherbaord.

For videocard, is it easier to find a PC that use the same driver to test? I mean if that PC is using det driver. (my card is a geforce sdr, my friend's Geforce ti4200) is it still ok?

Try a different video cable and see if that is the problem.
