How can I take back a game because it just isn't fun to play?

Pacific assault? I want to return Capcom Fighting Evolution.

Yes. It is so scripted. It's like I'm just doing all these little puzzle tasks and following some group of soldiers. It's not even like I'm in control.

You want to see scripted? Try the new leisure suit larry!! It is HORRIBLE! I would never pay a penny for that game.

I'm going to try taking it back to Walmart. If they say no, I am going to speak to the store manager and ask for a legitimate reason why not.

I payed $65 for it and played for two hours.

suck it up
its a rule in every retail environment...thats why you have to be an educated consumer and read reviews, etc..

No it isn't. At least 80% of the things I buy at best buy and circuit city can be returned with no questions asked. I was quite annoyed when EB games stopped doing this - for the most part I only shopped there because of the return policy.

Torpid your the same one in the other thread harassing that guy about asking for a no-cd crack for one of his games??
What exactly do you think the retailer is doing here by preventing opened software to be returned now? Screwing the consumer?
NO, they want to make sure you don't copy the game, crack it and then just return it. High is right, do some damn research. You COULD download a demo and try out a game first....there's also only a bazzillion game review sites out there as well.

Yes. However, I played the first MOH and expeced this one to follow suit. It didn't and I am not happy.

$65? Ouch.

I still allow myself to buy games without reading about them first. However, I have recently made it a STRONG point to read all the reviews and consider my gaming likes, BEFORE I crack the seal and open the box. It works, I've returned a few and saved myself frustration (and money of course).

But I have still totally disliked games that I thought I'd like and came with good reviews. It's a risk. Sell the game on Ebay and suck it up.

That's pretty weak on Wal-Mart's part. That's a lot of money to have gone to waste. I guess you're SOL right now though.

I'm going to atleast try to get store credit.

Yeah, I got the collector's edition on dvd because it was out first and it has some extra weapons in it.

Yeah they really should give you some kind of refund. That's ridiculous. How long ago did you buy the game?

On the 6th, but because of final exams and such I just started playing it last night.

True. But it's simple customer service. I'm calling the district manager tomorrow morning. At the least, I can be a pain in their backside for a couple days.

How can they know you didn't just burn a copy of the CD? If stored allowed you to return opened software, wouldn't a lot of people do that?

How's that for a legitimate reason?

Should've opened it very carefully so you could reseal it. Then it's magically Unopened software.

If it's really that bad it's pretty much justified too.
