Ok, this is my setup...

Linksys 4-port switch 10/100 router
Linksys 5-port switch using uplink port
Netgear Nic 10/100 cards
Win98sec (4 pc)
Win NT 4.0 (1 pc)

I now networked using Linksys router and switch connecting all the pcs. So far all the pcs are going well with internet, but I don't know how to make it share files. I know that in Network Neighborhood, I should see all the PCs names, right?? but how??

Please teach me how to share using my setup.

Thank you so much

My experience with W98 networking says that it only works when the temperature is in between 65'-70', humidity at exactly 55% and when the moon is crescent. And it is not a holiday!

But you can try by first mapping a network drive. You can find it on Windows Explorer under tools I think. If you don't have this option you need to enable it under folder options.

Then you need to give permissions and passwords. But don't forget to give the same workgroup name to all the machines.

you first need File and Printer SHaring For Microsoft Networks installed in the network control panel. CLick Add.. and choose Client.. Microsoft.. File/Print sharing
