Turning your smart phone into a wireless access point would be the easiest. My Verizon iPhone has that option because of the plan we have with Verizon, but it can also be jailbroken. I'm pretty sure there are apps for Droid as well but I don't have a Droid phone.

Wireless providers will sell you mobile hotspots as well that you could put in your car, likely similar to what you linked.

ah i see verizon has something called MiFi mobile broadband. maybe this is what i am looking for.

Get a dual port power adapter for your car... they cost like $10. Then get a MiFi device OR use your smartphone as a hotspot. The big advantage of using your phone as a hotspot is that you don't need to buy a separate device and get another separate plan. Unless if you have those data sharing plans.

i use a verizon mifi for in-car access and am happy with it. although i'm also on a grandfathered $30/3gb plan which isn't offered anymore.
