When I adjust the time on my computer, it resets right after I shut the computer off. Why is that and how can I fix it to stay it that way. Thanks.

You will see a key you have to press to enter your bios during your POST, hit that key, should be somewhere under standard options (cant be anymore descriptive than that due to varying mobo bioses)

I don't know what "POST" means in that sentence. I appologize for not understand but are you saying something about me posting replies on here or anywhere? Is it in the control panel? If you could, please tell me what kind of button it is and where it can be found on my keyboard; plus if it isn't on the keyboard, I am assuming it's in the computer somewhere. Could you be so kind and give me the directory to this 'BIOS'. I am a bit lost :/

When your PC first boots, you should see tons of text running through the screen. That's your POST. Right before that happens, somewhere on the screen it should say something like "press F8 for setup" or something like that. Press the key it tells you. After you press that button you should be in a screen with a ton of options and stuff. That's the BIOS screen.

But usually the time resets if the battery on your motherboard is out. If you look on your mother board, there's a button cell battery about the size of a quarter on there. Take the battery to radioshack and tell them you need another one of them. Then stick the new battery in there and you should be good.
