There are several options, P2P being one of them. I suggest checking out Kazaa Lite or WinMX. You can also use IRC by connecting to a server in the same network (DALnet, EFnet, etc..) and creating a new room with invite only and then inviting your friend in to initiate DCC transfers. I would recommend mIRC for that. You can also use one of the many instant messaging programs that allow file transfer such as ICQ, AIM, and I think MSN Messenger.

I think the easiest way would be through AIM. I hope you guys aren't on dial-up.

If you have Windows 2000 Professional you can create an FTP site, and make it possible for someone to connect directly to your site and transfer any size file.

doesn't matter, some people are extraordinarily lazy.

anyway, my suggestion is just to setup an FTP. go download Serv-U FTP...a monkey could use it.

I'd use FTP. If you're behind a firewall, you could always open port 21 for FTP transfers. I think.
