i would like to see the Harry Potter movie trailer in high quality version, but have only 56k connection, so i want to save the file and watch it from my computer. apparently i cant do that. can anyone please help?

If it's a quicktime movie, just configure quicktime to cache the movie to your harddrive. After it's finished dl'ing, search for then rename it.

There was recently a thread about saving Real Audio streaming files:

I'm in the same situation--one of my classes has a bunch of lectures saved online as Real Audio. I'd like to save them to my computer, because sometimes before an exam the server gets too busy and has trouble serving up the videos. Unfortunately, Real seems to think that's very BAD :Q and has squashed the shareware programs that let you do this.

Harry Potter Movie Trailer on WB

<< right cliock -> save as >>

🙂😉 how stupid do you think i am? i tryed to analyse the html to find links to the .asf files but no can do. the site blockes the article.jsp file from downloading...

they have all formats: Windows Media, Real, QuickTime. i dont have quicktime installed, but i can do that. i know its supposed to be cached but i wasnt able to find it. anyone?

thanks very much the_good_guy. which plug-in or smth did you use to get those links? they are too long for explorer... is there any "weird" browser which can show them?

i not only read all four books, i actualy bought them.
it looks like its gonna be a good movie, but even if it isnt, i have to see it 'coze i am hooked on harry potter. i have a date on Nov 16th since when the date was annonced... (she likes harry potter too...)

Potter and LOTR will be a lot of fun. I can't tell much from the LOTR trailer, but the HP trailer sure made me feel encouraged that the movie will be true to the book.

Fast way that ive found to save .movs . right click on IE get into properties, in temporary internet files click on settings, from settings click on view files. If youve downloaded the complete file it'll be there just copy it over somewhere. BTW check out Planet of the apes it looks promising.

well for that link just right click on the link and save as the quick time.

Actually you have to be a programmer to know how to get around stuff. However to let you know, the .jsp file is actually a text file, open it up in wordpad and in there you will see the link.

Edit: I love harry potter, I have all the books and read them. Cant wait for the movie.

I transfered the QuickTime cached movie (from Temp Internet Files to my trailers dir)... Anyway, it looks interesting, but the trailer is kind-of slow... Maybe I'm just tired, but it didn't captivate me at all.
