How can I run a floppy DOS utility from a CD or DVD?

I have a rescue utility on a floppy, which runs fine when I boot to the floppy. It is for Drive Image 2002, a 4-year-old program.

When I create a bootable CD, using Nero, and place the utility on it, it fails to run when I execute it after booting to the CD. I get an error about not having enough memory.

How can I get it to work on the CD?

How can I do the same thing on a DVD?

I know I can get a newer program. But, other than this, I am happy with Drive Image.

Yes it does.
I can create my boot CD with Nero using what is on floppy as the boot image. But, then, I will be wasting 600MB of space on the CD since the CD would be emulating a 1.4MB or 2.8MB floppy!

What will be missing is the capability to access the content of the CD after I boot to it.
I remember I had found a utility in the past that let me provide that capability.
So, after booting to the CD, it would have a drive say D: which would contain files that I had placed on it when I burned the CD.

Can anyone point me to such utility?
