I want to be able to connect to my Windows computer at work from home. The problem is that my work computer is on an internal network. Is there any way to do this?

the network dudes at work have to give you a way in, normally it would be using a VPN tunnel to get back into the internal network from the internet
that is how we do it where i work

Assuming you are using windows XP, you could use remote desktop connection to connect to your home computer. This is assuming that you have the remote desktop app installed or can install it on your work computer.

If you do then on your home computer if you are behind a router you will need to open up port 3389 and have it forwarded to the computer you want to connect to's IP.

From your work computer launch remote desktop connection (start-->programs-->accessories-->communication-->remote desktop connection) and type in your wan IP of your home computer.

Here is a more detailed tutorial:

Typically, Fobot's advice will be the route you'd take. VPN server at work. VPN client from home. You could then RDP into your work machine or VNC or other alternative if your not running a terminal server capable machine at work.
