How can I record phone conversations on computer?

What software and/or hardware do I need with the phone connected to my dialup modem? I think I have a Lucent winmodem installed. Is that OK?
 
You need a voice (hardware) modem with sound jacks in/out and then plug it into the line-in of your soundcard. No you need a hardware modem most likely I doubt they make the cheaper "software" voice modems but I cold be wrong, it will have two connectors on the back that you can use to hook up to the soundcard.
