I do want a front plug solution. I have an NF7-S Abit that has firewire, I just want a plug in the front instead of the back.

.... there should be a cable from the front of the case that hooks up the the firewire port internally on your motherboard.

Contact the manufacturer/vendor and ask them. Many of them will be happy to ship a replacement out for free if it was supposed to have it. However, some cases have this as an option that requires you to buy the case with the optional wire, which saves the manufacturer a few bucks and gives the dealer a reason to make more money by marketing extra features.

Short version, make some calls to find out if you should have one/can get one shipped.

newegg.com .. check out teh 5.25" break out boxes. usb2.0 firewire, front audio and junk. firewire even comes with the cardreaders and stuff.

gotta snoop around.

I looked at that and it was enticing but I have a 6 in 1 card reader. I will look around some more. Not sure if the wire is supposed to come with case or not but I don't think so. Makes the Sonata case look good since it already has this installed.
