Couple of things... #1 The last time that I checked, a forum was any place where an individual even noobs could post a question and receive straight forward, and legit answers to there queries devoid of money and/or consulting fees... for some individuals in this forum who feel that they are better then somebody and feel that they should put down another individual who doesn't know as much as them really need to be socked in the mouth. #2 Everyone should be on to help others no matter how much everyone knows or didn't know and anyone else who wants to be derogatory can go to hell and never come back to this forum. #3 Apple's... suck to put it bluntly.

STFU. if you dont like it, leave. hell dont even join!

apples do not suck. I love my amd64 just as much as anyone else but apple's OSX caching is GREAT as well as for professional GFX work. Just cause they suck at games dosent mean you should generalize.

See it's those comments that I was referring to. The slandering and rude mundane comments. Give me a break. Adolescence... go back to high school... And about apple's... yeah they're stable... yeah they used to be good for a few things (GFX). But the world of the PC is taking the apple world over... shoot Apple's main products now are Ipod's and Ipod accessories that's where they generate almost all of their income. And quite frankly who cares about games... I couldn't tell you the last time I spent gaming on my pc let alone even thinking about it on the apple that I OWN.

Wow, probably one of the briefest stays in Anandtech history.

Last visit was 19 minutes later. Now he can check back, 4 months later, to see that he hasn't been forgotten. :p

Instead of asking such a broad question, looking for exact directions. Maybe, doing some research (google->overclocking) and then asking more specific questions would come across better.

And for a first time poster yourself, I find it funny telling everyone not to come back to this forum. Either you're the OP or someone w/out the balls to post w/ their original profile.

Maybe you didn't understand... the losers who see themselves as superiors and act like a55e5 need to leave this forum. And to your next post about a good example... yeah it is a good example. I also agree that the original question is vague. Yet, slamming a post because of vagueness... wow that's cool.. maybe we all should do it.

Yeah I usually just read everyones posts and learn from all of them because that in my opinion is the best way to learn. But when i came across this post (because the OP's post looked somewhat interesting) everybody was just randomly slamming this individual and thwarting the whole purpose of the post.

And one last thing... alkemyst... if you have to brag about what you can do with what other people designed (mobo's, cpu's, vid's, etc) in a sig to make yourself validated in an OC community then maybe it's time that you, I don't know... use the Almighty power that you bestow to go put to some use in the real world... cause last time I checked I didn't ask for your knowledge.

some, but not most, unfortuneatley. They think they're the TO (terrel Owens, in case you aren't american/hate Football) of overclocking, and act like it.

What kind of Apple do you OWN? probably a paperweight.

I wouldn't own an Apple personally...I am in the profession of Microsoft-based IT / IS support and programming...I would need two rigs to make this happen.

However, my wife who is a major JAVA / J2EE programmer and my brother who is a UNIX guru, CCIE/CSSIP...etc etc etc, he has people paying him 5 figures a year for a few hours of monthly phone support, not to mention he is paid 6 figures in his main job....he runs the latest G and powerbooks...has the iPod, iCam (whatever), biggest Cinema screen, etc.....my wife wants an iBook and wants to dump her Sony VAIO laptop.

Neither of them game really, but my brother is into EQ and those types of games.

WTF are you talking about

in my sig I basically state if we ever met you'd be glued to the bottom of my shoe. It's a movie quote btw in case you don't get out on dates and the like.

As far as what I do in the 'real world' goes, I donate a pretty good sum of my time solving IT/IS problems for a couple non-profits, helping repair homes/cars/boats, etc for people without the knowledge/tools. I work out, go boating, work on my car, go to parties and activities...pretty well rounded....unlike the geek you are seeking redemption for the crappy life you have.

however, we all know you are a coward/troll here getting all tweaked and giddy while we merely pass you by without much of a notice...I love with your whole 5 posts you tell others to leave these forums. (which by the way are not all OC ones y0!).

go girl go!

check it out... you must have to put you 2 cents in on every post enough not to remember your own previous statements...

an OC'er without reporting it in his sig. so tight y0!

I merely rebuttled with letting you know that bragging unless asked is quite lame

and then what do you do... you give your (and the world around you) résumé. I'm glad that you help out non-profits I consider that very honery (seriously) I respect you for that... so I will openly apologize for flaming you... quite frankly I was angry at this whole post. And you had made a comment about sigs and OC brag posts and stuff.

Regardless... you shouldn't stereotype me the same way as I stereotyped you. Notice my 5 (now 6) posts are due to my unwanting of entering an arena of flames and have been a passer-by of forums learning all that I can from them for the last couple of years.

And just to let you know. I have my MCSE, CCNA, and a couple of others and work for 2 non-profits and own my own company based around IT. Yet, I try to get out as much as possible on the lake and work on Stereo equipment for autos and home entertainment... anther hobby is home automation... so I do have a life... and i'm not here to impress anyone... so you can pass my by but maybe you'll have a question or I'll have a question one day that the other one will be able to answer... see ya around
