How can I monitor CPU temperature?

I have an Athlon 64 3500 which I have not overclocked but whenever I run UT2K4 and alt+tab out of it I get a blue screen of death with an error about IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or something like that. I've read that this can be caused by CPU overheating and I want to be able to keep an eye on my CPU temperature without going into the BIOS. After crashing, though, I did go into the BIOS and it had a temperature of 43º C which should have been fine from what I've read. Still, I'd like to be able to keep an eye on my CPU temp, what should I use?
