How can I measure 1 ml of liquid?

I need to measure 1 ml of liquid.. such a small ammt I would guess that I have to have a graduated cylinder.. but maybe someone has another idea.. needs to be pretty precise.. or if anyone knows where to buy one from a B&M store. Thanks

I could be wrong, but I always thought that a single drop from a common eyedropper is usually close to 1mL....

yea grad cylinder and syringes are good ideas.. but i dont know where i can buy one locally.. i'm pretty sure i can't buy a syrings lol.. unless i go to the methadone clinic or something and trade in a dirty one .. I read about the teaspoon too, but it just isn't precise enough for me.. then I read about using an eye dropper.. but turns out the size of drops varies with the density of the liquid.

You should be able to find a syringe at a hardware store or auto parts shop. They aren't just used for drugs, you know

It is easy to measure 1 ml pal.

get expensive tiny scale.
say you have 60 ml bottle and want 1 ml out of it?
measure weight of whole bottle...let us say 120 grams
empty the liquid in glass and measure bottle empty-say 30 grams
now you know total liquid weight is 90 grams
and you know by inspection that 60 ml=90 grams
you can calculate that 1 ml=1.5 grams

so all you do now is bring tiny cup...measure it? say 10 grams
now pour iquid inside this tiny cup until total weight is 11.5 grams...which is weight of cup and 1 ml in it.

frankly speaking? i dont know if I am joking or serious about this procedure? but it does make sense...right? I guess I hinted that I am joking when I said buy expensive tiny scale! Lol

I believe 1ml = to 1 cubic mm as well. I may be wrong on this though.

In 2005 that may have been right, but due to inflation and all 1 ml is 1000 mm3 (1 cm3) these days.

The volume of liquid contained in 1 drop is proportional to the liquid's viscosity. The more viscous a liquid, the larger the volume. A liquid with a viscosity similar to water will yield about 20 drops to 1 ml

Get a scale and measure 1g of distilled water. Mark where the top of water is. Wait for water to evaporate. Pour in liquid you wish to measure.

This is easy, just measure out 1/10th of a ml once a year for the last 10 years and by now you should have it.

As for how to measure out 1/10th of a ml and get my brilliant idea back in time 10 years to the OP I leave as an exercise for the reader.
