how can i make windows load faster?

then after time it takes longer and longer for that damn bar to finally load. fresh install, didnt even load up, after the first day of installing, the line went though twice before it booted, now, its like 6 or more( i know its not bad but hey!) and im even turning off services, and using microsoft bootvis. help!

Try using TuneXP, it has some boot optimization features that have worked for me. Also try stopping and disabling the nvidia display driver service(nvsvc32.exe).

Me, if my machine gets noticeably slower, I backup, download drivers and updates, reformat, and reinstall. Not many people approve of the method, but it works.

yeah, its only driver delays...well it friggin better be with 2 raptors in raid 0 or id really be pissed. any way to stop the "delay"?

I had a friend over at DFI tell me about this and I downloaded it and played with it for a while. It definitely speeds things up and it will close you out a lot quicker also. It will tell you to defrag after it does its tweaking. Supposedly, it rearranges windows files so they perform at a quicker pace. Was very noticable...

go into the bios and disable everything that you are not using, like for me, both com ports are disabled, no printer so i disabled that, i disabled both slave drives so it only checks the primary and secondary masters
