How can I make my hard drives quieter?

The reviews suggest it does silence the drive, but does not really offer much cooling. But - for $24, why not, if noise bothers you that much.
 
I moved somewhere really quiet and ended up on a mission to quiet down everything in my PC. Hard drive was on rubber washers already, so I ended up with my hard disk sitting on a couple of inches of foam instead. . . which works great, so long as you don't need to move your PC. Not great for cooling but it sits behind a (5V modded) intake fan so it's okay.
