That poor poor nose took a few beatings. :(

Damn hoonigans hooning around.

Much better than Gym 4 imho, Gym 3 was fairly rad though (especially with the destroying of the wheels at the end). I think this one took the cake just because of the course. (anyone see Block finished 2nd in the XGames Rallycross riding on a wheel/shredded tire the last lap or two?)

Should have ended jumping off the barge though (or jumping onto it into a slide? :awe:)

Love the Pastrana cameo!

I think I am more amazed that he was able to shut down so much of San Francisco to shoot that.

If you watch the street closely, you can see numerous skid marks where it appears he likely hit a barrel or other objects. I'm sure the video was a cut and paste of numerous runs to make it look like one perfect run. Either way, still pretty awesome even if it took him 7 or 8 tries.

youre probably right, but it doesnt really take anything away from the result. the guy is an amazing driver

I'll have to look at it more closely - one could probably tell by watching if damage to the front end bodywork gets "reset" at different points.

But more than anything - he of course took MANY practice runs. Every Gym course he has shot you can tell he practiced a long while to get max hoon ability at every turn (and find out where he can't push as hard as he thought :p)

Which leads to...

I think I am more amazed that he was able to shut down so much of San Francisco to shoot that.

I was thinking that same thing. Think about it - he had to practice each "course segment" for a fair bit of time - those streets had to be shut down for good part of that day.

I would be slightly disappointed if these recent videos were more or less pasted together segments as opposed to one clean run... but only slightly.

I'm pretty sure it was multiple runs pasted together over multiple days.

that would be amazing if he did it in 1 run, the first time!
looking at the vid, tire tracks were there already.
still impressive off course!

I wish they would shoot the entire video editing team for putting in/allowing that godawful flickering. I wanted to punch my monitor.

I've been messing around with drivers and other "fixes" for my BF3 freeze/hard-lock issues lately, and I was super worried at first that even Flash video was now FUBAR.

Damn them for this tomfoolery! I was getting quite nervous and angry.

It's a given he most certainly practices the course (for every single Gym video he has shot, this has been true).

It remains to be seen whether the final video is a single-run or edited from multiple runs.
