How can I kill poison ivy in my yard?

I have a bunch of poison ivy in the backyard of my new house. What's the best way to get rid of it? I kind of dont want to just pull it out because then I risk touching it and if I dont get all the roots then it wont matter. Does some herbicide work? Maybe roundup? There's no other plants near it that I care about.

Brush killer works better than Roundup. Just be careful how you apply it so you don't kill everything nearby. Don't apply it when it's hot or windy.

An added caution: never, never, never burn poison ivy/oak/sumak!!! Your lungs will react to the stuff the same way as your skin and you could die.

Roll in it until it's dead.

I am so very allergic to poison ivy that doing something like that would cover me in a solid mass of blisters that would ooze amber liquid at a rate probably around a liter and hour, the pain would probably drive me crazy, and it would last three weeks.

I hate poison ivy more than any other plant in the world. I would spray fvcking agent orange on the goddam weed.

That happened to some kids around where I grew up about 10 years ago.
