How can I get the Antec Plus660 without the PSU?

I want to get the Antec Plus660, but I think I would like to put a more powerful power supply in it. Where can I get this case without the power supply? Is it ever referred to by a different model number without the psu (like I think the SX1030 and SX1040 were called the SX1000 when there was no power supply)?

Thanks!

Not yet.

Maybe you could just buy the case, sell the PSU to someone else and get yourself a larger PSU to replace it.

Or .......... purchase the case w/psu, try it out and ..... if it has enough power, save yourself some $$$ and trouble?

If they made it with the 380W or 430W PSU, that would rock!

Thanks for the input everyone! I'm building this computer for a co-worker's dad. Because of that, I need to be able to give him exact prices so he can pay me back, which means I don't want to try to figure out how much to deduct from the case by not giving him that psu (although I guess I could). Also because of that I don't want to order everything, then get it and decide later that I need another psu, causing further delay. I thought about trying to calculate how much of each type of power would be taken by the components I've selected. So far I've only tryied to find out about the motherboard and the CPU. I couldn't find the info I wanted in AMD's doc about the AhtlonXP, and I don't have time on a 28.8 dial up connection to download the 5+MB manual for the MSI KT3 Ultra-ARU. Plus I wanted to have this done today, so I don't really want to take the time to go looking for that info on every part, but I guess I might. :D

If anyone knows of a site selling this case that will do the "no power supply" option, I would love to hear about it!

Right now we don't offer the Plus cases without power supply. Since the VAR series (sx800 etc) wasn't that successful we're not likely to do so with the Plus cases.

Then, if that's the situation ....... can you address some of MidiGuy's power supply concerns with the +660's 330W "True Power" PSU ......... ?
Seems to me like the included psu in such a NEW re-design of the pc case/psu ...... should certainly handle a normal XP or P4 modern system?
Otherwise, .......... Antec should go back to the drawing board and try again!

In all likelihood, the 330w TruPower unit will be more than adequate. You'll need to stuff a lot of equipment in there or be seeking the ultimate overclock to consider more power.

Antecs are good quality, and the need for more than 300-350w is greatly exaggerated, IMHO.....
