Buy HL2 silver edition or Gold edition through steam. Thats it. As of now anyways. There may be ways in the future to buy them.

while this may be true, the only people who can currecntly upgrade are ATI coupon holders. They "say" you will be able to but so far nope.

Half Life Source is a huge disappointment if it makes you feel any better. New physics don't make the game any better. You might as well just play the original through again, it's basically the same.

Yea, I tried HL Source and I thought it sucked.
Nothing really that different from the original including what now looks like really poor graphics.

apparently you haven't played either then. I suck at both so i don't play them, but i think it is pretty easy to see the differance in graphics. They did an amazing job of making the game "feel" the same though.

Cawchy87:

I'm not sure I understand.

I think they're saying HL:Source looks practically the same as HL1 (not HL2, which is superior by far to both). This is because all the models and textures in HL:Source were retained from HL1; you can't get it to look better without changing those. If someone completely remodelled everything in HL1 for Source (i.e. make the HL1 content HL2 quality), then it would look better.

Most here say that HL:Source is not much differant from the original and looks almost the same with only very minor differances.
