I keep getting these text messages, but I'm not sure from whom. How can I find out?

There is no number. I have a Motorola i710 from Nextel and it simply shows the SMS, nothing else.

you have to call nextel up.
the senders number won't show up on nextel unless you have a txt msg plan.

... What? Which keys are you pressing to access the message, and what does it display in place of the number? I have an i710, and while I hate it (for reasons not relevant to this), it has no problem with displaying origin identification for messages.

No... I have a data plan on my phone, but I have always been able to view origin identification for incoming messages, even before I added the data plan to my phone.

Well, I press the message button on the top left, then I scroll to the message and press 'OK'. Only the message is displayed. What am I doing wrong?

Don't you have to scroll down to the appropriate message class (Text Msgs?), and hit OK, before you're able to see the list of messages?

yes. If you have the same phone, then the process is the same. But why can I not see the number while you can?
