Check my post a dozen or so posts back. The read laser wavelength for CD can range from 770 - 830nm, excepting the roughly 775-795nm window for writing.everywhere lists the wavelength for a CD-R at 780 um, but is that the reading wavelength, or the writing wavelength, or both?
