Was your question answered? It seems you have your linspire drive as the main drive with the MBR. The Windows XP drive seems to be configured as the slave drive or as the non-bootable drive. If you want to keep Linspire, you could just rewrite your Grub boot file.

However, it seems you want to delete your Linspire installation so you can use this hard drive for other purposes and then by default make the Windows XP drive the main bootable hard drive.

Ensure your hard drive jumpers are correctly positioned to make the Windows XP drive the Master on the primary cable with the Linspire hard drive as the slave on the primary cable or as the Master or Slave on the secondary cable.

Then use the FIXMBR command from the Recovery Console of the WinXP installation CD to rewrite your Master Boot Record so the system will boot into Windows.

Please clarify if it is something different you wish to do.
