how can I delete drivers?

Im trying to install a tv card but the driver wont work right,so i remove it from device manager,then when I reboot windows detects it and reinstalls the old one and I cant do anything to stop it.:|:Q
I need help guys!
Win 98Se
1200 athlon

512 Mb crucial DDR

Just install the newer drivers then.

To stop that, you could just delete the INF file for the driver.

just a hunch but check to see if the driver software is listed in add|remove programs!

Do a search for the driver that the OS is trying to load by default and delete it. In 2000, you look in the INF folder in the WINNT directory and delete the inf and pnf files, but it has been too long since I've been in 98.

Try reinstalling the card. When it autoloads the bad driver, write the name down. Search for that file. It will be an inf file. When you find it look in that directory. The should be another file in the directory with the same name and a pnf extension. Delete both of them.

You can then install your card with the driver you want.
