How can I customize installer packages?

I have 4 accounts for Company of Heroes for my brothers and I, that's 8 cd keys that I have purchased... over $100 worth, and it takes over an hour to install the 8GB dvd and run the 7 patches since Opposing fronts per PC.

The issue is that games have to be reinstalled somewhat often to clean their file system after a bad mod or whatever. Currently I'm using registry snapshots before and after to make .reg files and a backup of the "THQ" folder. This somewhat rough, however, as the registry has a mind of it's own.

Also, Relic has this neat system where you must log on to your account just to play the game, so piracy would be impossible anyway.

Ahhh, ok, carry on then. Sorry about the other thread

So are you looking to create one *.exe file that does all the work for you? I believe Microsoft has an application that creates custom installation packages for you. Let me dig through the bookmarks and find something for you. I have something else I've used int he past that works well too.

There is software I've used that takes a snapshot of the system before the install, and another one right after. You can even make modifications to the installation process once it's done (no reboot, reboot after, silent, etc)

I have a package builder you can try. PM me if you want it.
