How can I copy/cut a sentence in Word without it automatically grabbing the return (blank space) at the end?

When I go to cut/copy something in word that involves more than one word (like an entire sentance) it is VERY hard to highlight just the words and not have it automatically grab the space(return) at the end of the sentance. I have found that if I start at the beginning of the sentence and highlight to the back it's easier but sometimes it is almost impossible to highlight a sentance w/out it automatically highlighting the blank at the end.

I don't mind this in typical applications but when working on certain documents I need the text w/out the return becuase the return messes up the formatting in the document I'm pasting into.

What controsls this setting and is there a way to quickly turn this off/on....a toggle of sorts?

Yeah, I hate that too. But I find it easier to start at the end and go backward. That'll guarantee that I won't get the Return or space at the end.

I wished it worked for me that way. When I start at the end as I drag forward after about 3 or 4 words the highlighted area suddenly shifts one space to the right to highlight the space at the end...can't figure out how to stop it.
