How can I block a user from PM'ing me?

He's sending me harassing PM's for not updating an ancient FS/FT thread, when I have had no means of doing so with the search function being broken.

How can I block him; he won't leave me alone.
 
Ignore the PMs - Delete them upon arrival. ONly other way would be to turn off PMs entirely.

If you want to be immature as he is, then contact the Mods about the situation.

i believe there is.

click on "Private Messages"

at the top of the page you will see these buttons:
"PRIVATE MESSAGES : BANNING : BUDDY LIST : EXPORT PRIVATE MESSAGES"

click on "BANNING" and type in the name of the person you wish to have blocked from sending PMs to you.

Not that I know of. It's been fixed since about the 9th.

If he's trying to edit an archived thread, that's not doable but it has nothing to do with the search function.

If someone's sending harrassing pms, notify the mods. They're not happy with that type of behavior.

 
OK folks. Here are all of my harassing PM's to SickBeast. Read them from the bottom. I didn't hear from him for 2 days after my 1st PM, and I saw that he had been logged on several times before my 2nd PM. Also, I've bought stuff from older threads than his.

Everyone should update their threads but unfortunately, most don't. I have been frustrated by this myself.

Like I said, I had no way to find the thread with no working search function, and I was unaware that it had been fixed.

While I agree with oldsmoboat on what SickBeast "should" have done, PKRipper1 should have just let it go. If a seller can't be bothered to reply to a PM, just ignore him in the future and/or put him on your DNT list.

BTW, what was it about his reply that "classless"? He answered your question that it wasn't for sale anymore and even said sorry.

When someone ignores a PM for 2 days, and then I ask if they ever respond to their PMs, and then a "diamond member" responds with "Not usually" and tries to make me look like an idiot for asking if they still have a HDD from an old thread, yeah I took it personally. Like I said before, I've bought stuff from older threads. If a "diamond member" can't update their thread in 3 months and doesn't know he can search, maybe he's not so diamond. And what a cry baby to call my PMs "harassing". I just yelled at him for not updating his thread and ignoring my PM. That is not harassing. I'm on this forum fairly regularly and I've always been able to search. I'm not denying that the search function was broke, but I'm on this forum several times a week, and it's never not worked for me.

Actually now that I'm making as much money as I am, it's not worth my time to sell a $40 piece of hardware, or even a $100 for that matter. It's too much trouble. I'm just gonna build a PVR box or something.
