Restraining orders are just another way of saying "I love you."

IIRC, PA started that in the "I like girls!" thread.

lol...those rejection numbers are pretty funny...

If I don't want a guy to have my number, I usually either say:

1) I'm sorry, I don't feel comfortable giving out my number to people I meet at a bar/club/library

2) I would, but my boyfriend probably wouldnt like it

Or sometimes, I just give it to them and never answer the phone- the beauty of caller ID.

Regardless, saying a straight up no is kinda harsh. I imagine it takes a bit of bravery to ask for a number anyway, so I'd like to save them some immediate face in the situation.

Anyway, guys tend to think a conversation is going really well, when a girl is just trying to be nice.

(I also had a friend who use to give out the number of the local police department....but wouldn't it be weird if he recognized it?)

i totally say what the post above said. either 1. i have a bf. or 2. i don't feel comfortable giving out my numbers to strangers.

i also throw in the fact that i hate phones and i never talk on them unless i have to.

as for asking the guy's number. even if i'm interested i never ask for theirs. the ball is in their court. i prefer it that way. :p besides,if the guy asks for my number and i give it to them and they like me then they are going to call me right? if he makes that first step, and the conversation is cool i'll ask for his number.

Some girl friends of mine just told me, if they get asked for their number, they just ask the guys number and never call ;)

First of all, A girl can refuse you anything she likes. She's not required to give you her number. Stop being so expectant on things that you don't deserve and havn't proven that you deserve.

Secondly, for a man dumb enough to present himself by saying "gimme yo digits," I'm not surprised that women now-a-days are disgusted with the quality of men out there. But, on the other hand, if you're picking up women who communicate equally poorly, then you get what you pay for (pun intended).

Try this next time...

"Would you mind if I called you some time?"

Present yourself as being more than a little boy, and you might actually get women instead of little girls. :)

i usually give out my phone number because when you meet guys in a situation like a bar or a club they never call anyways.
i have a hard time saying no so if it comes down to i dont want to give this moron my number i'll say:
"my boyfriend would rather i didnt"

or i tell them to give me theirs and i'll call them

or give em a fake one :D

If we say no and someone insists against our wishes, we will give you a FAKE one. At that point, it is not "sexy" for you to hunt us down because you think we "accidentally" gave you the wrong one. I NEVER used to give out my #, only take yours.
